American Eagle Renews Cards Program with GE Capital

Specialty retailer American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) has renewed its retail credit card agreement with General Electric Capital Retail Bank.

GE Capital's retail finance business will continue to manage the American Eagle Outfitters credit card program, extending a relationship that began in 1996, for an additional seven years. The Stamford, Conn., bank will provide private label credit card programs for online, mobile and store purchases made at roughly 860 American Eagle Outfitter and 115 Aerie stores.

Cardholders can apply for the credit cards in-store, online and on their mobile devices.

"GE Capital Retail Finance understands our business and has the expertise and willingness to evolve with us," Mary Boland, American Eagle's chief financial and administrative officer, said in a press release.
