Arkansas Banks Make a Deal

Farmers and Merchants Bank in Stuttgart, Ark., has agreed to buy the $120 million-asset Chart Bank in Perryville, Ark., according to a local news report.

The deal was announced Thursday and was reported in Friday's Arkansas Business. A sale price was not disclosed.

The $335 million-asset Farmers and Merchants has nine branches and Chart Bank has three.
