Avenue Financial Holdings in Nashville, Tenn., is looking to raise $30 million through an initial public offering.
The $973 million-asset company did not disclose in its registration statement how many shares will be offered or an expected price. The company also noted in its filing that Goldman Sachs could sell the 830,000 shares of stock it gained from a 2007 investment.
Avenue said it plans to use the net proceeds from the offering to redeem outstanding preferred stock and for general corporate purposes that could include acquisitions.
Keefe, Bruyette & Woods is the offering's underwriter.
