B of A promotes human resources exec.

SAN FRANCISCO - Bank of America's board of directors has named Linda W. Short, director of human resources for the bank's U.S. and international divisions, a senior vice president.

With the bank since 1975, she has been in her present assignment since August.

Ms. Short is responsible for the development of human resources policy for offshore employees and the implementation of corporate human resources policies and programs for five wholesatle banking divisions, which have about 7,800 employees in 37 countries.

Based in San Francisco, she reports to group executive vice president Kathleen Burke, who heads corporate human resources.
