Fiserv has acquired an online financial and market specialist firm, BancIntelligence, in a deal that will put the industry's only automated and Web-based advisory service for banking operations and market strategies under the Fiserv corporate umbrella, according to the Brookfield, WS bank services firm. The seven-year-old BancIntelligence, in turn, will get an ocean of Fiserv clients to recruit from (including about 11,000 institutions), a client-data integration partner as well as a vehicle to promote services into the credit union market. The Atlanta company has two main tools-BancAnalyst Financial and BancAnalyst Market-that provide real-time custom analysis for banks' to use in profitability analysis and franchise growth. All of BancIntelligence's executives, including president, CEO and founder Steve Cotton will make the shift to Fiserv as a new subsidiary. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
