BancorpSouth in Tupelo, Miss., has bought Waguespack & Associates Insurance in Gonzales, La.
The $14.6 billion-asset BancorpSouth did not disclose the terms of the deal in a Monday news release. Waguespack & Associates has annual revenue of about $3 million and will be combined with BancorpSouth Insurance Services.
Waguespack & Associates, an independent insurance agency, handles, property-and-casualty, life and health insurance. The agency was founded in 1986.
The top five banks and thrifts had combined assets of more than $13 trillion as of December 31, 2023.
