Bank of Boston Names Executives

NEW ENGLAND

Bank of Boston Corp. has hired David N. Weinstein as managing director and head of high-yield capital markets, a newly created position.

He will report to Steven B. Shenfeld, who was hired in April as head of high-yield sales, trading, and research.

Mr. Weinstein been managing director and founding head of Chase Securities Inc.'s high-yield capital markets group.

The Boston bank also hired John G. Casale as managing director of emerging-markets investment banking.

Mr. Casale was the managing director and head of Latin American investment banking at Nomura Securities International. At Bank of Boston he will head the private finance group, focusing on the placement of highly structured senior, mezzanine, and equity emerging markets securities with institutional investors. He will report to Alex Aikens, managing director of emerging markets investment banking.
