BillingTree Adds Utility, Health Care

BillingTree Inc. said Wednesday that it is expanding its express check-recovery tool to serve the utility and health-care industries.

The Phoenix payment processor said its service lets companies keep track of what they are owed, as well as of returned checks. BillingTree's system can hold declined checks so that they can be re-presented at a time when the writer's account is more likely to have funds, rather than immediately re-presenting them.

"A broader range of industry verticals, including health-care and utility, have been requesting additional components of our comprehensive suite," said Scott McCollum, BillingTree's president. "Now more businesses can take advantage." BillingTree supplies automated clearing house and credit card payment services to billers to get payments online and by phone.
