Boston Private Promotes Two Executives

Boston Private Financial Holdings, a national umbrella company providing private banking and wealth management services through affiliates, has promoted Mark Thompson to be CEO of its private banking group.

It also promoted James Dawson to be managing director of its West Coast private banking operations.

The company said Thursday that Thompson will take charge of the holding company's banking brands, including Boston Private Bank and Trust, First Private Bank and Trust in Los Angeles, Borel Private Bank and Trust in San Francisco and Charter Private Bank in Seattle.

Collectively, the banks hold $5.8 billion in deposits and manage $3.6 billion of investment assets.
