C1 Financial's Lowman Named Chair-Elect of Fla. Bankers

Rita Lowman, chief operating officer at C1 Financial in St. Petersburg, Fla., has been named chairwoman-elect of the Florida Bankers Association.

Lowman will serve as chairwoman in 2017, the $1.6 billion-asset company said in a news release. She will become the third woman to chair the Florida Bankers Association.

Lowman "is a force to be reckoned with," Trevor Burgess, C1 Bank's chief executive, said in the release. "Her passion and dedication will make her a formidable chair of the Florida Bankers Association."

Prior to joining C1 in 2010, Lowman worked for Bank of America, Regions Bank and American Momentum Bank.
