Buypass Corp., a transaction processor owned by Electronic Payment Services Inc., said it has added the states of Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, and Louisiana to its electronic benefits transfer gateway services, bringing the total to 13 states.

Buypass services include transaction switching and authorizations related to the electronic delivery of welfare and other public assistance benefits. Buypass said it is handling 1.6 million such gateway transactions a month.

The company expects to add Alabama, Massachusetts, and Oklahoma to its benefits transfer program in the coming year.
