Card Briefs: Record Holiday Volume For National Data Corp.

National Data Corp. said it set records for holiday-season transaction volumes.

The Atlanta-based company's results are an indicator of credit and debit card activity. On Dec. 23 it handled 14.5 million transactions, up from 11.5 million on the comparable shopping day in 1995.

The operating center in Atlanta processed 369 transactions in its peak second, surpassing the 1995 mark of 313.
