CashEdge, of New York, said Thursday that the PIN debit network, owned by Fidelity National Information Services Inc., will offer CashEdge's Popmoney payment system to its more than 3,000 financial institution clients.

Users will be able to send electronic payments to other consumers and small businesses from their online or mobile banking accounts using a recipient's e-mail address, mobile phone number or bank account information. The transactions will travel over NYCE's network.

The partnership between CashEdge and NYCE "aligns with today's anytime, anywhere payments model," said Sanjeev Dheer, the chief executive and president of CashEdge in a press release.

CashEdge currently has more than 650 financial institution clients, including eight of the 10 largest U.S. banks. Its Popmoney product sends funds primarily over the automated clearing house system.
