Central Valley in California starts search for new leader

Central Valley Community Bancorp in Fresno, Calif., is looking for its next president and CEO.

The $2 billion-asset company said in a press release Monday that James Ford will retire next year. Central Valley has formed a search committee to evaluate internal and external candidates and potentially hire an executive recruitment firm.

The next CEO would be just the fourth leader in Central Valley's 41-year history.

Ford joined the company in 2014, orchestrating two acquisitions.

“For many years prior to joining Central Valley … I had admired their success,” Ford said in the release. “I am pleased to have had the opportunity to lead the team and company over the past seven years to their next level of success, and I look forward to transitioning my successor.”
