Centrue Financial in Ottawa, Ill., has registered for resale about 4.8 million shares on behalf of stockholders.

The registration was required by the terms of Centrue's recapitalization in March. Centrue said it's not aware of any shareholders that currently plan to sell shares.

The shares of common stock would be worth about $77 million based on a price of $16 per share, the $891 million-asset company said in a Sept. 25 prospectus.

In March Centrue completed a recapitalization in which it issued more than 6 million shares and repurchased $32.7 million of preferred stock from the Troubled Asset Relief Program for $19 million.

Corrected October 5, 2015 at 3:07PM: An earlier version of this story mistakenly said Centrue planned to sell 4.8 million shares on behalf of stockholders. It registered the stock for resale as required by a recent recapitalization, but is unaware of stockholders that currently plan to sell.
