Peoples Bancorp Inc. in Marietta, Ohio, announced Wednesday that Donald J. Landers, its chief financial officer and treasurer, has resigned.
The $1.9 billion-asset company said that Mr. Landers, 48, plans to pursue other career opportunities. He joined the company in 2003 as controller and chief accounting officer of the holding company and its Peoples Bank. He was promoted to CFO and treasurer of both on Aug. 1.
Carol A. Schneeberger, the executive vice president of operations, was named interim CFO and treasurer. She has worked almost 30 years at the company.
Peoples said that it would begin a search for a permanent CFO "in the near term."
