Chase Offers Package For People over 50
Hoping to attract lucrative business, Chase Manhattan Bank has added a package of products and services for clients over 50 years old.
The bank said its package, called Chase Better Banking Value 50, is the first such offering by a major New York City bank.
Customers who signs up for the package will receive several bank and nonbank benefits, including no-fee travelers checks, bonus rates on certificates of deposit, $100 overdraft protection, and restaurant discounts.
Many banks in other parts of the country have sought out mature consumers, who represent one of the fastest-growing population segments, account for half of discretionary spending, and tend to maintain high-balance accounts.
