Citizens Financial Group will build a new office complex in Johnston, R.I., and consolidate about 3,200 workers at the location.
The $138 billion-asset company will shift workers from its Cranston, R.I., office to its new corporate campus in Johnston, according to a Wednesday news release. Citizens' headquarters will remain in Providence.
Design plans for the Johnston campus include 420,000 square feet of office and meeting space, executive offices and a call center, as well as dining, fitness and retail facilities for staff. Citizens plans to begin construction later this year, with occupancy projected for late 2018, as the Cranston location's lease will expire then.
