City National Bank in Los Angeles is launching a new online magazine with a goal of driving more traffic to its website.
The $32 billion-asset bank said that the digital publication, dubbed News & Insights, will feature branded editorial content, including promotions for City National events, market data, personal finance tips and lifestyle stories on style and health.
"We're tapping into the growing trend toward trusted sources for news and information and doing it in a way that will drive new and more frequent visits to City National's public site," said Thom Miller, an executive vice president at the bank, in a press release.
City National caters largely to niche industries, including entertainment, and high-net-worth individuals. It has 76 branches in California, Nevada, New York and Georgia.
