City National in Los Angeles reported higher third-quarter earnings, due to a sharp rise in trust and brokerage revenue.

City National Bank in Los Angeles is launching a new online magazine with a goal of driving more traffic to its website.
The $32 billion-asset bank said that the digital publication, dubbed
"We're tapping into the growing trend toward trusted sources for news and information and doing it in a way that will drive new and more frequent visits to City National's public site," said Thom Miller, an executive vice president at the bank, in a press release.
City National caters largely to niche industries, including entertainment, and high-net-worth individuals. It has 76 branches in California, Nevada, New York and Georgia.
