The City of York, Pa., has partnered with MuniServices LLC, a business of PRA Group Inc., to provide revenue discovery and recovery services.
Under the partnership, MuniServices will identify businesses that are operating within the City of York but are not currently licensed and paying the required fees and taxes associated with their business activities. "MuniServices will be a trusted partner in continuing to capture revenue for the City of York and level the playing field for all businesses, bringing existing businesses into compliance with applicable city ordinances," said York Mayor C. Kim Bracey. "Assuring all businesses are paying their fair share creates an accurate, steady revenue stream enabling us to deliver effective and efficient services to enhance overall growth. Partnering with MuniServices will bring additional revenue to the city without raising taxes.” City of York Business Administrator Michael Doweary said the partnership with MuniServices will allow the city to "re-enforce best practices, making sure every business in the City of York is paying its fair share.” He credited the nationally recognized MuniServices for offering "constant refinement of systems and services designed to fit the needs of diverse municipalities and the way they work individually."
