CMA Launches New Data Software, Hires CEO

LONDON (HedgeWorld.com) — Credit Market Analysis released its latest technology offering, Data Services, while at the same time hiring a chief executive.

Data Services is a daily download of 1,200 issuer curves and 250 sector/ratings indexes. The new service is designed for risk managers but is of use to anyone needing up-to-date and accurate electronic credit pricing, according to CMA officials.

CMA already offers a number of sophisticated credit market analytics on a clean set of data in an easily accessible form for credit professionals. The firm now has 37 users at 25 different institutions. Over half of those users are hedge funds, according to Forbes Elworthy, chairman of CMA.

Krishna Biltoo will join the company as chief executive on May 1. He was head of product development at CreditTrade, a credit derivatives data provider. Mr. Biltoo has been a director of credit and risk business at Reuters and a non-executive director of RiskMetrics.
