CNB Bancshares plans to join MAC network.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - CNB Bancshares Inc., a $2.3 billion-asset company based in Evansville, signed a letter of intent to join the MAC ATM network.

CNB owns roughly 400 ATMs, all of which will join the 13,000 terminals that are part of MAC.

The agreement, announced last Thursday, also provides for a strategic partnership between the bank and the network that is expected to bring 100 more ATMs from CNB's correspondent institutions into MAC. The bank, which does ATM processing for 20 financial institutions, will market MAC network services to other banks.
