Comerica Names Director of Retail Sales

Comerica in Dallas has promoted Rhonda Davenport Johnson to national director of retail sales and service for its bank unit.

Davenport Johnson, a 27-year veteran of Comerica, begins her new job immediately, the $65 billion-asset company said in a press release Tuesday. She replaces Dana Drago, who left Comerica in May, according to a company spokesman.

Davenport Johnson is responsible for the development and leadership of all retail sales and customer-service activities, including all banking centers and contact centers. She reports to Michael J. Aust, executive vice president and executive director of Comerica's retail bank unit.

Previously she was director of Comerica's loan center, where she was responsible for mortgage, home-equity, consumer and small-business lending.

Since joining Comerica in 1987, Davenport Johnson has held various management positions; they included regional manager for the retail bank division in Michigan, and other responsibilities in business banking, business development and operations.

Comerica runs 485 branches in Texas, Arizona, California, Florida and Michigan.
