Commerce Bank Names Executive

Commerce Bank, Kansas City, Mo., the principal subsidiary of Commerce Bancshares, promoted Mark Tankesley to senior vice president in retail administration and advanced several assistant vice presidents to vice president.

Mr. Tankesley remains north region group manager, overseeing seven Commerce branches north of downtown Kansas City.

The new vice presidents include:

Lance Holden in the U.S. banking division, responsible for developing relationships with larger corporate clients in south and central Missouri.

Sheila K. Rice in the William T. Kemper Foundation. She joined the foundation, the bank's charitable arm, in 1992.

Dane A. Lee in the corporate debt division, responsible for municipal and corporate debt obligations, specializing in complex and variable-rate financing.
