Inc. magazine has ranked Fairport, N.Y.-based collection agency ConServe on its 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000 list, a ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.
ConServe is ranked No. 2,128 on the list.
The list offers a look at a key segment of the economy - Americas independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Dominos Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500|5000.
"We're extremely proud to be recognized for the third consecutive year on the Inc. 5000 list," said ConServes President, Mark E. Davitt. "Our consistent growth and success is proof of our employees commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients and the teamwork we embrace."
The average company on the list achieved a three-year growth of 516%. The Inc. 5000s aggregate revenue is $211 billion, generating 505,000 jobs in the past three years. The complete list, including company profiles and an interactive database to sort by industry, region and other criteria, can be found through the magazines website.
"What surprises me, even though I know its coming, is the sheer variety of the paths our entrepreneurs take to success, thematically reflecting how our economy has evolved, said Inc. President and Editor-in-Chief Eric Schurenberg. This year there are far more social media and far fewer computer hardware businesses than there were, say, six years ago. But what doesnt change is the fearsome creativity unleashed by American entrepreneurship.
