OppenheimerFunds Inc. says a page 12 story in the Feb. 12 issue misconstrued an executive's remarks about the recent reorganization of its distribution system. Though a "key accounts" group deals with senior people at larger organizations through which the company sells, the wholesaling group - which mostly deals with those at regional offices - still has dedicated salespeople for banks, brokers, and financial advisers.


In the "Community Banking" supplement to Monday's issue, the page 8A story "Demand Grows for Investor Relations Pros" misstated a company's name and understated its age. F.N.B. Corp. - not Bancorp - of Hermitage, Pa., has been in business for 27 years. Eight years ago is when it went public.
