Court to Clearing House

John Court has joined the Clearing House Association as senior vice president and associate general counsel.

Court, who has 15 years of experience in the legal profession in the financial services and banking industry, previously counseled a range of U.S. and foreign financial institutions on bank regulatory and enforcement matters at Skadden Arps.

"John brings a depth of expertise and understanding of the regulatory challenges facing Clearing House owner banks," said Paul Saltzman, president of the Clearing House. "His understanding of key commercial bank legislation and experience working with federal regulators will be valuable to The Clearing House's advocacy efforts and its commitment to provide thought leadership and technical expertise on banking regulation."

Court will be based in the trade group's Washington office focusing on bank regulatory issues and advocacy. The Clearing House represents the largest commercial banks in the world.

He practiced law at Winston & Strawn and also worked at Pillsbury Winthrop as a bank analyst earlier in his career.
