Denver Collector Expands in Kansas

Regent Asset Management Solutions, a Denver collection agency, said Monday that it plans to hire 1,200 people in the next five years after expanding to a new call center in Overland Park, Kan.

An estimated 400 workers are to be hired at the call facility in the first year, Regent said.

The agency, which already had a 50-person operation in Overland Park, leased 15,000 square feet in a former Internal Revenue Service office in the Kansas City suburb. If it continues to grow, it could expand into another 60,000 square feet in the building.

The state of Kansas is supporting the expansion with $1 million in work force training funds.

Regent collects on debts to many industries, including banking.
