Diebold Inc. said it would provide more than 200 automated teller machines to Sovcombank Investment and Commercial Bank LLC.
The Russian retail bank was already a Diebold customer. Its latest purchase gives it a total of 450 Diebold Opteva ATMs.
"We continue to extend our retail network and the range of services offered," Igor Lappi, Sovcombank's central branch manager, said in a press release. The contract, announced Monday, is part of a pact with Sovcombank, Diebold and the Center of Financial Technologies, a consortium of companies that develop high-tech financial sector products. Under the deal, the CFT is providing ATM software that will give users remote access to banking products and services.
