Dime Community in N.Y. Names Next President

Dime Community Bancshares in Brooklyn, N.Y., has lined up its next president.

The $4.6 billion-asset company said in a press release Tuesday that Kenneth Mahon, 64, will take over the post on Jan. 1.

Mahon, who will remain chief operating officer, will succeed Michael Devine. Devine has been president since 1997. He will continue to serve as vice chairman.
