The company's goal is to encourage the use of its credit card and to encourage more customers to sign up for the card accounts. The promotion runs through Nov. 30.

The ExxonMobil Personal Card, issued by Citigroup Inc., lets consumers pay for gasoline, food and supplies at any of the 11,000 Exxon and Mobil petroleum stations in the US.

To receive a gift certificate, current and new cardholders register for free at dining.exxonmobilcard.com. Cardholders who purchase 100 gallons of gasoline within 90 days of registering will earn a $50 dining gift certificate from Restaurant.com. New cardholders automatically receive the $50 dining gift certificate and can earn another $50 certificate if they purchase 100 gallons of gasoline within 90 days.
