Buypass Corp. has announced plans to roll out MAC, Money Station, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover point of sale capabilities at Riser Foods' 45 corporate stores and more than 50 affiliate locations in Cleveland.
Keycorp is sponsoring Atlanta-based Buypass in these efforts. Buypass is the point of sale processing subsidiary of Wilmington, Del.-based Electronic Payment Services, which is partly owned by Keycorp.
Buypass also announced that more than 100 grocery stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin recently signed on for point of sale processing services, since Buypass is now able to accept TCF Bank's Express Teller debit cards.
Pueblo International Inc. recently signed a contract committing eight stores for Buypass credit and debit processing. Pueblo is the 38th-largest supermarket chain in the country, with a potential of 50 stores.
Buypass and Sunoco also announced the renewal of their contract for exclusive point of sale processing through 1998.
To offer supermarket and multilane retailers greater flexibility and control over their processing outsourcing, Buypass introduced the Corporate Check Router.
