MIDWEST

Independent Bankers' Bank in Springfield, Ill., has hired James L. Saner Sr. as chief executive officer of it and its parent, Bankers' Bancorp Inc.

Saner had been president and chief executive officer of MainSource Financial Group Inc. since 1999. He had been a director and the chief operating officer of MainSource since joining the company in 1998. Before that he was president and chief executive officer of P.T.C. Bancorp and, earlier, the president and chief executive of Indiana United Bancorp.

Saner succeeded John Schneider, who left the company in April, as CEO in August.

Independent Bankers' Bank has $695 million of assets.


MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Provident Financial Services of Jersey City has announced that Christopher Martin has added the title of chief executive officer of the $6.6 billion-asset company and its Provident Bank to those of chief operating officer, which he has held since 2007, and president, which he has held since his hiring in 2004.

He succeeds Paul M. Pantozzi as chief executive officer. Pantozzi remained on the board of directors after his retirement Sept. 1, the company said.


SOUTHEAST

Iberiabank Corp. in Lafayette, La., has hired James B. Gburek as an executive vice president and chief risk officer and Lewis Rogers as executive vice president and internal audit manager of the company and its subsidiaries.

Gburek was the managing director of Latin American and Canadian corporate business at Wachovia Corp. Before that he was group executive overseeing business development for Wachovia's clients in the eastern United States. He had worked at Wachovia since 1990.

Rogers had been head of credit administration at Whitney National Bank in New Orleans since 2000. Before that he was a commercial credit officer at First Commerce Corp. Earlier he was a commercial lending officer for Louisiana in the New Orleans commercial and energy divisions of First Commerce.

Iberiabank Corp. has $4.1 billion of assets.


SOUTHWEST

Centennial Bank of Conway, Ark., has promoted Donnie Farmer to market president for its Jacksonville, Ark., region.

Farmer was the senior vice president for commercial lending at the $2.5 billion-asset Centennial. Before joining Centennial he was a senior vice president at Bank of the Ozarks.

The company also hired Davy Carter as an executive vice president, general counsel and chief lending officer for its east region, which includes Beebe, Cabot, Heber Springs and Ward, Ark.


WEST

San Joaquin Bancorp in Bakersfield, Calif., has named Stephen Annis chief operating officer and promoted Mark Taylor to senior vice president and chief financial officer of the company and its San Joaquin Bank.

Annis was the chief financial officer and will remain an executive vice president of the $832 million-asset company, a title he has held since 2006. Before that he was a senior vice president. He has worked for San Joaquin Bank since 1986.

Taylor was the bank's vice president of finance. Before that he was the parent's assistant corporate secretary. He has worked for San Joaquin since 2005.

Bart Hill is to remain president and chief executive officer of the company and the bank's interim chief credit officer.
