Bank of Lancaster County, a Strasburg, Pa., unit of Sterling Financial Corp. of Lancaster, has made Robert C. Shoemaker its executive vice president in charge of business services.

Mr. Shoemaker was a senior vice president of business services at the $1.9 billion-asset bank, where he began his banking career in 1981 as a management trainee.


Allegiance Bank of North America in Bala Cynwyd, Pa., has hired Kevin J. Gallagher as a senior vice president and its chief lending officer.

Mr. Gallagher had the same job as an executive vice president at the $210 million-asset Continental Bank, which opened last year in Plymouth Meeting.

Allegiance Bank has $126 million of assets.


SOUTHEASTEverBank of Jacksonville, Fla., has made David Strickland the vice chairman of its community banking division.

Mr. Strickland had been the division's president since 1998. Before that he had been the president and chief executive officer for Martin and Volusia counties at Barnett Bank (now part of Bank of America Corp.) and the president of Barnett Securities Inc.

He has 35 years of commercial banking experience.

EverBank is a $3.6 billion-asset unit of EverBank Financial Corp.


WESTBridge Capital Holdings of San Jose announced a series of executive changes for the company and its $641 million-asset Bridge Bank.

Tom Sa, the chief financial officer of the company and the bank, has also become the chief administrative officer of both. He remains an executive vice president.

Mr. Sa joined the bank as its CFO in April 2001, a month before its opening. Earlier he had been the CFO and corporate secretary of Central Coast Bancorp in Salinas from 1995 to 1997 and the CFO of South Valley Bancorp. in Gilroy from 1989 to 1995.

Bridge Capital also has promoted Tim Boothe to chief operating officer of Bridge Bank. He had been its chief lending officer.

Mr. Boothe, who remains an executive vice president, joined the bank in December 2000. Before that he had been a senior vice president and a commercial team leader at Heritage Bank of Commerce of San Jose. Earlier he had worked at Comerica Bank for six years.

Bridge Bank has hired Lori Edwards as its senior lending officer.

Ms. Edwards, who has also been named an executive vice president, was a senior vice president, a regional manager, and a credit team leader at U.S. Bank in Walnut Creek. Before that she had worked at Comerica Bank for 18 years, leaving in 2001 as a senior vice president and a regional manager for its East Bay middle-market group.

Bridge Capital has promoted Mike Bondy, Bridge Bank's senior credit officer, from senior to executive vice president.

Mr. Bondy joined the bank in 2002. Before that he had worked at Peninsula Bank of Commerce of Millbrae for 14 years, leaving as a senior vice president and its chief credit officer.
