Ledyard National Bank of Norwich, Vt., has hired Robert T. Boon as executive vice president and managing director of its investment and trust services division.

Mr. Boon will be based in the $331 million-asset bank's new building in Hanover, N.H.

He has more than 26 years of investment and private banking experience in New England, most recently as executive vice president of TD Banknorth Inc.'s wealth management group.


MIDWESTFirst Busey Corp. of Urbana, Ill., has promoted Thomas Good to president and chief executive officer of its $2 billion-asset Busey Bank.

Mr. Good will remain executive vice president of risk management for First Busey.

As the president and CEO, he succeeded Mike Geml, who is retiring after 34 years of community banking in southwestern Florida, the last eight with Busey. He will become an outside director and consultant and will remain the bank's chairman until Dec. 31.

David Mills, executive vice president of mergers and acquisitions for First Busey, will succeed Mr. Geml as the bank's chairman Jan. 1.


MIDDLE ATLANTICWSFS Financial Corp. of Wilmington, Del., has hired Peggy H. Eddens as executive vice president and director of human capital management for the executive management team.

Ms. Eddens will oversee all aspects of human capital management, training, and leadership development for the $3 billion-asset parent company of Wilmington Savings Fund Society.

Most recently she was senior vice president of human resources and development at Nextier Bank in Butler, Pa. Before that she had been first vice president and regional human resources director at Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania.


SOUTHEASTBeach First National Bank of Myrtle Beach, S.C., has hired Gary S. Austin as executive vice president and chief financial officer of the bank and its holding company, Beach First National Bancshares Inc.

Mr. Austin will oversee financial data for the $575 million-asset bank and the company and will serve as the company's corporate secretary. He also will oversee the bank's accounting, human resources, information technology, deposit operations, and marketing.

He has more than 31 years of financial industry experience, most recently as executive vice president of Main Street Banks Inc. of Covington, Ga.


WESTService 1st Bank of Tracy, Calif., has promoted Robin Park to vice president and Dana Bagley, Justin Redman, and Chris Miller to assistant vice presidents.

Ms. Park will remain manager of the note department, a job she has held since July 2004.

She joined the Service 1st Bancorp unit in July 2000 as an assistant vice president and credit analyst. Before that she had worked for Union Bank of California, which is majority owned by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc.

Ms. Bagley will remain relationship manager, a job she has held since April of last year.

She joined Service 1st Bank in July 2004 as a consumer loan officer and credit analyst. Before that she had worked at Bank of Agriculture and Commerce in Stockton.

Mr. Redman will remain a construction loan officer, a job he has held since January of last year.

He joined Service 1st in January 2005 as a management trainee. Before that he had worked at Redwood Credit Union in Santa Rosa.

Ms. Miller will remain the bank's operations development officer. Before joining Service 1st in May of last year, she had worked in health-care management for Vision West Inc. in Sacramento.
