Peoples State Bank, a Hamtramck, Mich., subsidiary of PSB Group Inc. in Madison Heights, has hired Gregory W. Quick as the senior vice president in charge of expanding the bank's mortgage business.
He will work from the $509 million-asset bank's mortgage operations office in Troy.
Mr. Quick has more than 31 years of banking experience. He was a senior vice president at Republic Bank and Trust Co. in Louisville.
EverBank of Jacksonville, Fla., has hired John Rhode, Julie Jensen-Fitch, and Elena Paloumpis as account executives for its Chicago wholesale lending branch.
Mr. Rhode will be in charge of originating loans for the $4.7 billion-asset bank in the Chicago Heights area. He has more than 16 years of experience in the mortgage industry and was most recently an account executive at American Brokers Conduit, which shutdown in August. Before that, he was a sales manager at USA Funding Corp.
Ms. Jensen-Fitch and Ms. Paloumpis will be in charge of originating loans in the Batavia area. Ms. Jensen-Fitch has 6 years of experience in the mortgage industry and was most recently at Aegis Mortgage Corp. Ms. Paloumpis has 11 years of mortgage lending experience and was at Vertice, a mortgage lending division of Wachovia Securities.
MIDDLE ATLANTIC
First Commonwealth Financial Corp. of Indiana, Pa., has hired T. Michael Price as president of its First Commonwealth Bank.Mr. Price will start his new job Nov. 13.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Most recently he was the chief executive officer of Cincinnati and northern Kentucky for National City Bank of Cleveland.
First Commonwealth Financial has $5.7 billion of assets.
Gibraltar Private Bank and Trust Co., a Coral Gables, Fla., subsidiary of Boston Private Financial Holdings Inc., has hired Janit Greenwood as a senior vice president and market manager for its New York branch.
Ms. Greenwood will be in charge of building and overseeing the $1.5 billion-asset bank's private banking business in New York.
She will report to Steven Hayworth, the bank's chief executive officer.
Ms. Greenwood was a senior vice president and the manager of the Newton, Mass., branch of another Boston Private subsidiary, Boston Private Bank and Trust Co.
Gibraltar Private has also hired Stuart Aisenbrey as a senior vice president and the senior fiduciary manager and Dan Nidus as a vice president to join the senior management team in the New York branch.
Northfield Bank of Staten Island, N.Y., the sole subsidiary of NSB Holding Corp., has promoted Donna Foster to senior vice president in charge of the bank secrecy act department.
Ms. Foster joined the $1.3 billion-asset bank in 2005 as a vice president. Before that, she was a security officer and bank secrecy act administrator at NorCrown Bank, which Valley National Bank of Passaic, N.J., bought in 2006.

Commerce National Bank of Newport Beach, Calif., has hired Larry V. Sorensen as an executive vice president and the chief financial officer.He has more than 23 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining the $177 million-asset bank, he was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Northern Empire Bancshares, which Sterling Financial Corp. of Spokane bought in 2006.
Hanmi Financial Corp. of Los Angeles, the parent company of Hanmi Bank, announced Michael J. Winiarski has resigned as the company's chief financial officer to pursue other opportunities.
Mr. Winiarski had been the CFO for the $3.9 billion-asset company since 2003.
West Coast Bank of Lake Oswego, Ore., has hired Ginger Balazs as a vice president and the manager of its downtown Eugene branch.
Ms. Balazs has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Most recently she was a vice president and relationship manager for KeyBank of Cleveland.
West Coast Bank is a $2.6 billion-asset unit of West Coast Bancorp.
