SOUTHEAST
First National Bank of the South in Spartanburg, S.C., the $576 million-asset subsidiary of First National Bancshares Inc., has hired Kent S. Dill to be a senior vice president and retail sales and service manager.

Mr. Dill has more than 29 years of banking industry experience. He was an executive vice president in charge of South Carolina retail for SunTrust Bank in Greenville, S.C.


MIDDLE ATLANTIC
Hudson Valley Holding Corp. in Yonkers, N.Y., the $2.1 billion-asset parent company of Hudson Valley Bank, announced that Bruno J. Gioffre has retired as a director of the company and its bank.Mr. Gioffre has been a director since November 2006. He retired to devote more time to personal pursuits, the company said.

Lakeland Bank in Newfoundland, N.J., the sole subsidiary of Lakeland Bancorp Inc. in Oak Ridge, has promoted Rita Myers from vice president to senior vice president.

She will remain the controller.

Before joining the $2.4 billion-asset bank, she was a vice president and controller at National Bank of Sussex County.

 


 CNB Financial Corp. in Clearfield, Pa., the $816 million-asset holding company for CNB Bank, announced that William R. Owens has retired as chairman of the board of directors for both the company and its bank.

Mr. Owens has been a director of the corporation and bank for more than 24 years. He retired to comply with the company's age-based retirement policy.


NEW ENGLAND
Strata Bank in Medway, Mass., the $412 million-asset subsidiary of Service Bancorp, has hired Mark L. Abbate to be an executive vice president and the chief financial officer.Mr. Abbate has 25 years of financial services experience. He was a project consultant at Global Professionals in Boston.


MIDWEST
Oxford Bank in Oxford, Mich., the $485 million-asset subsidiary of Oxford Bank Corp., announced that Nicholas W. Hevron has retired as a senior vice president and its chief financial officer.Mr. Hevron has 43 years of banking industry experience, the past 13 with Oxford Bank.


WEST
Bridge Bank in San Jose, the wholly owned subsidiary of Bridge Capital Holdings, has hired Keri Rees to be a senior vice president and business development officer in the commercial and industrial lending division.Ms. Rees was first vice president and a manager of the business development team in Comerica Bank's western market. Before that, she managed the Winchester, Calif., branch of Pacific Western Bank.

Bridge Bank has $789 million of assets.

 


 Discovery Bancorp in San Marcos, Calif., announced that James P. Kelley has resigned as the president, chief executive officer, and director of both the holding company and its Discovery Bank.

Executive vice president and chief administrative officer Joseph C. Carona is to succeed Mr. Kelley as the president and chief executive officer of the company and its bank on an interim basis.

Discovery Bancorp has $178 million of assets.


SOUTHWEST
ViewPoint Bank, the wholly owned subsidiary of ViewPoint Financial Group in Plano, Tex., has hired Paul W. Craig to be a senior vice president of retail banking.Mr. Craig has more than 35 years of banking experience. He was a senior vice president and regional chairman at Capital One Financial Corp. Before that, he was a senior vice president at Hibernia National Bank in Dallas.
