Enterprise Financial Services Corp. in Clayton, Mo., has hired Peter F. Benoist as the chairman and chief executive officer of its principal subsidiary, Enterprise Bank.
He reports to Kevin Eichner, the $806 million-asset company's CEO.
Mr. Benoist, 54, was also named an executive vice president of Enterprise Financial. He was the executive director of the Regional Housing and Community Development Alliance in St. Louis since 1999. Before that he had been a regional chairman at Firstar Corp., which bought the old U.S. Bancorp last year and adopted its name.
Earlier he had been a senior executive vice president and the chief operating officer at the St. Louis-based Mercantile Bank. Before that he had been an executive vice president for 13 years at the St. Louis-based Mark Twain Bancshares Inc.
Clarkston Financial Corp. in Michigan has named its chairman, Edwin L. Adler, to be its chief executive officer.He succeeded David T. Harrison, a founder and a director, who, along with his wife, Wanda, were killed in a traffic accident in August.
Mr. Adler, 64, had been the chairman and a director of the $106 million-asset company and its principal subsidiary, Clarkston State Bank, which he helped found in 1999.
Before helping to establish Clarkston Financial he had been the president of the Clarkston-based Food Town Supermarkets, where he had worked since 1963.
WESTUmpqua Holdings Corp. in Portland, Ore., has hired Joan Salvatore as an associate vice president and a customer information analyst.
Ms. Salvatore was the manager of information services at Harland Financial Solutions Inc. Before that she had been an assistant vice president and an operations manager at U.S. Bank.
She has 35 years of financial services experience.
Umpqua Holdings has $1.5 billion of assets.
Silicon Valley Bank in Santa Clara, Calif., has hired Tim Bubnack as a director in the San Diego office of its Southern California venture capital and emerging technology division.Mr. Bubnack was a senior vice president at Comerica Ventures Inc. and Comerica Capital Advisors. Before that he had been a senior vice president in the Southern California emerging growth division, which he co-founded in 1998, at Imperial Bank. Earlier he had been a San Diego-based vice president of corporate banking at the Billings, Mont.-based First Interstate Bank.
He has 13 years of technology investment and financial services experience.
Silicon Valley Bank, a subsidiary of Silicon Valley Bancshares, has $3.6 billion of assets.
