Zurich Financial Services Group has promoted Richard Richiski to head of distribution and regional management for the specialties business in its North American arm in Shaumburg, Ill.

Mr. Richiski was the chief operating officer for the specialties business unit. Before that he was executive vice president of specialties. Earlier he was executive vice president of the company's specialties accident and health group, which he launched. He has worked for Zurich Financial since 1996.

 


 Wells Fargo Insurance Services of San Francisco has hired Allison Morgan as a sales executive in its employee benefits division.

Ms. Morgan, who will be based in Chicago, had been a relationship manager at MetLife Inc., where she handled employee benefits for national clients. She joined MetLife in 2003. Before that she was the director of account management at Dennis Insurance Group of Greensboro, N.C.


SOUTHEASTDuff & Phelps Corp. of New York has hired Kenneth Halperin as a managing director for the investment banking firm's due diligence practice.

Mr. Halperin had been a vice president of due diligence at American Capital Strategies since 2005.

Before that he was a director in the transaction services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. Halperin will be based in Duff & Phelps' Washington office.


WESTMorgan Stanley has hired Bernard Machlovitch and Hans Maentz as vice presidents in its private wealth management business.

Both will be based in Los Angeles, assisting high-net-worth clients in the company's expanding Native American market.

Mr. Machlovitch and Mr. Maentz had worked for Lehman Brothers since 2002, co-heading its Native American asset management team.
