Alliance Financial Corp. of Syracuse, N.Y., has hired J. Daniel Mohr as the treasurer of the company, an executive vice president of its $978 million-asset Alliance Bank, and the chief financial officer of both.
He succeeded David P. Kershaw, who has retired.
Mr. Mohr was the CFO and a senior vice president of Partners Trust Financial Group Inc. of Utica, which owns the $3.9 billion-asset Partners Trust Bank.
Before that he had been the CFO for Pioneer Cos., a Houston chemical manufacturer. Still earlier he had been the CFO, the treasurer, and a vice president at Skaneateles Bancorp in New York and the controller of its Skaneateles Savings Bank. (B&B Bank and Trust Co. bought Skaneateles in 1999 and sold itself to Partners Trust Financial in 2004.)
SOUTHWESTCentennial Bank Holdings Inc. of Denver has made Daniel M. Quinn, who has been a director of the $2.9 billion-asset company since July, its chief executive officer.
From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Quinn had been the vice chairman of commercial banking for U.S. Bank. Before that he had been the president of the U.S. Bancorp unit's Colorado operations.
Since 2003 he had been the president of Quinn Financial LLC.
He succeeded John Eggemeyer, who will remain Centennial's chairman. Its three banking units are Centennial Bank of the West, Guaranty Bank and Trust Co., and Collegiate Peaks Bank.
MidSouth Bancorp Inc. of Lafayette, La., has hired J. Eustis Corrigan Jr. as the chief financial officer of the company and its two banking units: the $145 million-asset Lamar Bank and the $555 million-asset MidSouth Bank.
The company said his start date would be no later than June 30.
Mr. Corrigan was a tax services partner at KPMG LLP, where he had worked since 1991. Before that he had worked in the tax division at Arthur Andersen & Co.
SOUTHEASTFidelity Southern Corp. of Atlanta has named H. Palmer Proctor Jr. its president.
He succeeded James B. Miller Jr., who remains the company's chairman and chief executive officer.
Mr. Proctor will remain the president of its $1.4 billion-asset Fidelity Bank - a job he was given in 2004 - and a director of the company and the bank.
