Executive Changes: SunTrust Bank Names Rogers Its Community Banking

SunTrust Bank, Atlanta, a subsidiary of SunTrust Banks Inc., has promoted executive vice president William H. Rogers Jr. to community banking director.

He is to succeed Charles B. Ginden, who plans to retire Jan. 1 after 40 years with the company and its predecessor banks.

Mr. Rogers is currently executive vice president of corporate banking for SunTrust Bank. He joined the company in 1980.

Mr. Ginden joined Trust Company of Georgia in 1958; he moved to an affiliate, Peachtree Bank, in 1964 and became its president in 1967. Trust Company of Georgia merged Peachtree into it in 1984, and Mr. Ginden was named community banking director.
