FDIC Panel to Discuss Savings Products

A special Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. committee will meet Thursday to discuss transaction savings products for low- and moderate-income customers.

The ninth meeting of the FDIC's advisory committee on economic inclusion will be held at the FDIC's Washington headquarters.

Among the participants will be Michael Barr, the Treasury Department's assistant secretary for financial institutions; Harvard University professors Peter Tufano and Robert Kaplan; and Dorothy Bridges, the chief executive of City First Bank of D.C.
