The Federal Housing Finance Agency has hired Denise Dunckel as a senior associate director for the office of congressional affairs and communications.
Dunckel, who will be responsible for all internal and external communications for the agency, will take on that role starting May 14. She was previously a senior business leader of global corporate relations for Visa Inc.
"I am pleased to have Denise join FHFA at this critical time," said Edward DeMarco, acting director for the agency in a press release. "Her skills and experience will be a tremendous asset to us as we work to build a new infrastructure for the country's secondary mortgage market."
Before joining the credit card company, she held senior public affairs positions at the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
