Fifth Third Bancorp has hired Citigroup's Melissa Stevens to the newly created position of chief digital officer and head of omnichannel banking.
Stevens, most recently a managing director and chief operating officer for the Citi FinTech unit, will report to Chad Borton, head of consumer banking, the Cincinnati-based lender said Monday.
Stevens will be responsible for developing "the strategic plan for an integrated omnichannel customer experience, including both sales and service, for all lines of business," Fifth Third said in a news release.
