First Florida Co-founder promoted to bank's CEO

Garrett Richter is taking on a bigger role at First Florida Integrity Bank in Naples.

The $1.2 billion-asset company said in a press release Tuesday that Richter had become its CEO. Richter, who remains First Florida’s president, recently completed his last term in the Florida Senate, freeing him up to handle the bank’s day-to-operations.

Richter succeeded Gary Tice, who will remain president and CEO of TGR Financial, First Florida's holding company.

Richter, who co-founded First Florida in 2008, previously served as president and CEO of First National Bank of Florida from 1994 to 2004.
