Fiserv Inc. said Monday that it has created a bill-payment widget that enables consumers to pay bills online without going to a dedicated bill-pay page.
The widget is a condensed version of its bill-pay interface and can be placed within any page of an online banking site. Its purpose is to make it easier for banks to prominently display their bill-pay services without requiring consumers to navigate away from the main online banking page.
"This improved accessibility leads to improved convenience for consumers, which can result in substantial increases in adoption and usage of the service," Jamie Deterding, a Fiserv senior vice president, said in a press release.
