Fiserv Rolls Out Mobile Banking Service

Fiserv Inc., the largest provider of core processing products and services to community banks and credit unions, announced Thursday that it has launched a mobile banking service, becoming the last of the five largest core providers to do so.

The Brookfield, Wis., financial technology company said United Community Financial Corp.'s $417 million-asset United Bank of Michigan unit in Grand Rapids began offering mobile in October.

Fiserv said its Information Technology Inc. unit, which provides both packaged software and outsourced core processing services, is offering Premier Mobile Banking to clients using its Premier or PCS Vision core processing suites.

The software uses the browser in handheld devices, and enables customers to check account balances, view recent transactions, receive alerts, and transfer funds between accounts.
