Focus Business Bank's Founding Chairman Retires

The founding chairman of Focus Business Bank in San Jose, Calif., has retired.

The $300 million-asset bank said in a press release Friday that Theodore Biagini, 73, had been chairman since its January 2007 opening.

"I have enjoyed my long association with the bank from its organizational period through the end of its seven year de-novo period, during which time it has grown to a strong, profitable enterprise," Biagini said in the release. "I look forward to continuing to serve the bank in an advisory role as chairman emeritus."

Focus President and Chief Executive Richard Conniff will succeed Biagini as chairman.
