FRM Capital Advisors, a London unit of Financial Risk Management Inc., announced that it will invest in Chicago's Victory Park Capital Advisors LLC.
The investment will add to Victory Park's "already significant assets under management and allow the company to increase the capital it has available to provide financing in the current 'credit crunch,' " the companies said last week.
Victory Park, which launched last year, provides asset-backed funding to deliver custom financing services to small-cap and middle-market companies.
FRM Capital Advisors, which invests in emerging managers, did not say how much it would invest in Victory Park. Financial Risk Management, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., fund of hedge funds group, manages over $15 billion for institutional and other investors.
