Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an Itasca, Ill., insurance brokerage, announced that it had closed its purchase of the Robert A. Schneider Agency Inc. of Minnetonka, Minn.
The deal's terms were not disclosed when the deal was announced Monday.
Schneider is a managing general agent and wholesale insurance broker that sells excess and surplus, property/casualty, professional business liability, and other specialty insurance products and services for independent insurance agents and brokers primarily in the northern Midwest. It also specializes in the transportation, hospitality, and residential contractor industries.
Robert A. Schneider and his associates will continue to operate from their offices in Minnetonka and Madison, Wis., under the direction of Joel Cavaness, the president of Risk Placement Services Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher.
The Gallagher firm has operations in seven countries and does business in more than 100 countries through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
